The growing number of electric vehicle registrations and the expansion of the necessary charging infrastructure are key factors in decarbonising the transport sector in Germany and France. Both countries have set ambitious targets for the development of electric mobility and charging infrastructure, in line with the requirements of the European legal framework. These national goals are being pursued through a range of government support measures, including direct financial aid and tax incentives.
In this one-hour webinar, Virginia Christochowitz (National Centre for Charging Infrastructure) and Rebecca Martin (ADEME) will give an overview of current political objectives and the specific design of support schemes in Germany and France. They will also offer a forward-looking perspective on expected developments in this field.
The webinar will address, among other things, the following questions:
- What political objectives are Germany and France pursuing in the field of electric mobility and charging infrastructure, and how are these being implemented under European legislation?
- What types of support schemes are in place, from subsidies and tax incentives to regional programs?
- What developments can be expected in the short to medium term in promoting electric mobility?
